Ten Paddles, established in Spring 2021,  makes delicious gelato in Wivenhoe, Essex.

We are local to the Essex town of Wivenhoe, nestled just inland from the North Sea. Ten Paddles is named for the Cap Pilar, a three-mast ship that sailed the world. The Cap Pilar was brought upriver to Wivenhoe after the start of the Second World War. 

The remains of the great ship lie under Dry Dock in Wivenhoe, and the ship would have had at least ten oars on board when sailing.
